Desktop App

The desktop app opens your project wiki and the chat in their own window, with or without Unreal installed. Artists, designers and producers can read and search everything the team knows without installing the engine.

Windows

• Installer (.exe), for Windows 10 and 11 (x64). Updates itself.
• MSI package, for IT departments. Installs for every user and does not update itself; deploy the next MSI to update it.

This build is not code-signed yet

SmartScreen shows “Windows protected your PC”. Choose More info, then Run anyway. On Windows 11 with Smart App Control turned on, unsigned programs are blocked outright, and the app cannot run until signed builds ship.

macOS and Linux

Builds for macOS and Linux are on their way. When they ship, the button above offers them automatically, at links that never change.

Updates

The app checks for a new version shortly after it starts and every six hours. It downloads the update in the background and installs it when you quit, so the next time you open it you have the new version. Nothing to click.

Every update is signed. The app checks that signature before it downloads anything, and refuses an update that does not carry it.

The checksums of every file in a release are at /download/SHA256SUMS. What the update check sends is described in the privacy policy.
